After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Valeriu Şunda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Dăianu in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Traian in the 60th minute of play forced Gimbas's goalkeeper Mugur Logofeteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Gimbas's Cosmin Alexiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Valeriu Şunda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Alexiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
