Spectators: 7779 (Terracing: 5835, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Octav Surdu got the match started through his kick off. Steaua Somcuta MM's Dacian Săvulescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mihai Ghișe but with some difficulty. Panait Unciuleanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Mihai Ghișe made a huge save. Serediu's Mihai Ghișe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Pitiș in the 6th minute of play. When Mihnea Giurgiu came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Serediu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihnea Giurgiu couldn't finish the play. Mihai Ghișe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Săvulescu in the 12th minute of the match. When Dan Mitescu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Serediu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Mitescu couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Serediu's Mihăiţă Gușatu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mihăiţă Gușatu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Serediu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mihăiţă Gușatu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Serediu! When Dan Mitescu came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Serediu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Mitescu couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute Dan Mitescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Mitescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Matei Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihai Ghișe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panait Unciuleanu in the 31st minute. After 47 minutes, Cain Ares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serediu and the Steaua Somcuta MM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Cain Ares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Pitiș made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Steaua Somcuta MM's goalkeeper Matei Rotariu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. George Pitiș charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Pitiș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Steaua Somcuta MM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Pitiș to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Negruț during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serediu's Mihai Ghișe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Unciuleanu in the 59th minute of play. Anton Negruț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Rotariu having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Leontin Zdrehuş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua Somcuta MM's zone, Dan Mitescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Rotariu came out of the goal and Dan Mitescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihnea Giurgiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Pitiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mihai Ghișe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Serediu's Cain Ares got a free kick in the 85th minute. Dacian Săvulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mihai Ghișe. Serediu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mihnea Giurgiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Panait Unciuleanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Panait Unciuleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Ghișe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matei Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Mitescu in the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Serediu players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Steaua Somcuta MM.
