After 7 minutes, George Pitiș made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Panait Unciuleanu succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Mihai Zegreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Unciuleanu in the 15th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes CS Botosani BTF got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Vochin. George Pitiș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihai Zegreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Dragoş Vochin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS Botosani BTF and the Steaua Somcuta MM players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes CS Botosani BTF got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Vochin. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Unciuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Steaua Somcuta MM's George Pitiș in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Mihai Zegreanu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If George Pitiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Panait Unciuleanu put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Mihai Zegreanu. In the 31st match minute, CS Botosani BTF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Botescu to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Robert Udrişte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS Botosani BTF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Somcuta MM the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Robert Udrişte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Panait Unciuleanu made a precise shot to the right of Mihai Zegreanu. CS Botosani BTF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Pitiș in the 45th minute of play forced CS Botosani BTF's goalkeeper Mihai Zegreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Pitiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Zegreanu having to interfere. After the first half Steaua Somcuta MM were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Pitiș made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Steaua Somcuta MM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Răuțchi to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Eric Avramescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragoş Vochin was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dragoş Vochin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Mihai Zegreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Pitiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Mihai Zegreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Pitiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Avramescu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, George Pitiș notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of CS Botosani BTF's Mihai Zegreanu. Mihai Zegreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in CS Botosani BTF's zone, George Pitiș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Zegreanu came out of the goal and George Pitiș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Steaua Somcuta MM's George Pitiș in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CS Botosani BTF's goalie prevented a goal. CS Botosani BTF's Octav Botescu got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Octav Botescu off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of CS Botosani BTF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Steaua Somcuta MM:s goal. When the match had been going on for 84 minutes, Steaua Somcuta MM's Dacian Săvulescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mihai Zegreanu. After a rather tough play, Steaua Somcuta MM's Dacian Săvulescu got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Panait Unciuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leontin Zdrehuş charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leontin Zdrehuş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leontin Zdrehuş hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. George Pitiș struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Mihai Zegreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua Somcuta MM. When the final whistle sounded Steaua Somcuta MM left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CS Botosani BTF.
