Spectators: 7736 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Vlad Caraiman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Ghișe having to interfere. The throw-in from Eliodor Gruescu in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Rapid Micesti's Alin Pantilimon. Dan Mitescu charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Mitescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Serediu getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Dan Mitescu hit a great ball. If Mihnea Giurgiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Serediu defense, Manole Ţăranu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihai Ghișe. The Serediu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihai Ghișe should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Serediu's Dan Mitescu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Serediu's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Ţăranu came free, but Mihai Ghișe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Octav Surdu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Mitescu struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Olimpiu Buteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serediu. In the 34th match minute, Serediu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Jienescu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Serediu getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Octav Surdu hit a great ball. When Anton Negruț fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Olimpiu Buteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Octav Surdu made the kick off in the second half. Olimpiu Buteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Giurgiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Mitescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olimpiu Buteanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dan Mitescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Octav Surdu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Olimpiu Buteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serediu. In the 60th minute Octav Surdu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Buteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dan Mitescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serediu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Mitescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olimpiu Buteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Buteanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Surdu went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octav Surdu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Buteanu saved FC Rapid Micesti from getting behind. Mihai Ghișe was a little too slow when Vlad Caraiman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 3-2. If Dan Mitescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Dan Mitescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serediu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Mitescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octav Surdu in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olimpiu Buteanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Rapid Micesti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Serediu.
