Spectators: 7879 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cornel Elenescu got the match started through his kick off. After 4 played minutes Brașov got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Elenescu. After a rather tough play, FC PESCARII's Constantin Baldovin got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Cornel Elenescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC PESCARII's Ciprian Baldazar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mihai Gherguț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brașov's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihai Gherguț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciprian Baldazar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Elenescu in the 15th minute of play forced FC PESCARII's goalkeeper Ciprian Baldazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Cornel Elenescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciprian Baldazar was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Ciprian Baldazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornel Elenescu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, FC PESCARII's Constantin Baldovin got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Mihai Gherguț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brașov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihai Gherguț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brașov's Cornel Elenescu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Cornel Elenescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ciprian Baldazar. The goal made the score 1-0. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cornel Elenescu sped through FC PESCARII's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciprian Baldazar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gelu Bala to make the kick off. In the 65th minute, Gelu Bala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd play minute Cătălin Joldea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dan Savin. 3-1. Mihai Gherguț might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciprian Baldazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihai Gherguț ran back to his position shaking his head. After 79 minutes, Iulian Teodoroiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC PESCARII and the Brașov players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC PESCARII's Ciprian Baldazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Elenescu in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Cornel Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Baldazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cătălin Joldea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Dan Savin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mircea Negoescu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Ciprian Baldazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC PESCARII's Iulian Teodoroiu got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Iulian Teodoroiu off the ground. Brașov's Sergiu Marioteanu was substituted for Nicu Plopșor. In the 90th minute, Iulian Teodoroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cătălin Joldea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dan Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Brașov players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
