Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gelu Bala kicked off to start the match. After 8 played minutes FC Ostroveni got a freekick which was hit by Luca Buricea. When Luca Buricea got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for FC Ostroveni. The crowd rose to their feet as Gelu Bala kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric Pricop. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. FC Ostroveni's Eric Pricop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ostroveni from getting a goal against them. Eric Pricop was a little too slow when Gelu Bala got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-1. Eric Pricop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cătălin Joldea in the 28th minute. Cătălin Joldea charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cătălin Joldea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cătălin Joldea kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Ilie Enceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Pricop was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Gelu Bala capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gelu Bala really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Eric Pricop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Bala, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Cătălin Joldea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 44 played minutes FC Ostroveni got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Şteţ. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luca Buricea to strike the kick off in the second half. Eric Pricop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Joldea in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Mihai Paulică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gelu Bala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Buriceas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Ciprian Baldazar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Eusebiu Beraru fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ostroveni's protests and gave Eusebiu Beraru a yellow card for diving instead. Eusebiu Beraru hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Iulian Teodoroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, FC Ostroveni's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Teodoroiu came free, but Eric Pricop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ostroveni's zone, Constantin Baldovin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Pricop came out of the goal and Constantin Baldovin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gelu Bala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Ostroveni's Eric Pricop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Joldea in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, FC Ostroveni's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Baldovin came free, but Eric Pricop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gelu Bala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Baldovin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, FC PESCARII's Cătălin Joldea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Pricop made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Gelu Bala's late challenge caught a FC Ostroveni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Bala helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, FC PESCARII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Bala to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Bala in the 88th minute of play forced FC Ostroveni's goalkeeper Eric Pricop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Ostroveni's Eric Pricop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Joldea in the 90th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC PESCARII had played much better football throughout.
