Gelu Bala scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valter Zenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, Nicodim Bîlbă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Iulian Teodoroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Zenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, FC PESCARII's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Şerbănescu came free, but Ciprian Baldazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Cera got free with Ciprian Baldazar in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucas FC's Valter Zenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Baldovin in the 27th minute of play. Valter Zenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelu Bala in the 27th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gică Şerbănescu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Cătălin Joldea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Gelu Bala took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Valter Zenga to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Bala in the 93rd minute of play forced Lucas FC's goalkeeper Valter Zenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
