Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ferdinand Tătaru started the match with the kick off. Costel Honcioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Mugur Burdea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Costel Honcioiu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Bikszad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costel Honcioiu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Honcioiu in the 15th minute of play forced Dragheasa's goalkeeper Mugur Burdea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Burdea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Lupașcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bikszad's Costică Anghel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Bikszad from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Bikszad's Aron Zafiu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aron Zafiu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bikszad protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aron Zafiu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Bikszad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dragheasa:s goal. The referee gave Dragheasa a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marius Hojbota, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bikszad's Costică Anghel. 1-1. In the 36th minute, Ferdinand Tătaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ferdinand Tătaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costel Honcioiu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Mugur Burdea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bikszad. Horia Ciompec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Costică Anghel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Dragheasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bikszad the free kick. In the 54th minute, Valeriu Dragomiroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play Dragheasa's Valeriu Dragomiroiu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Costel Honcioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute.
