August Östensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Octavian Amarandei sped through Firefighter Jr BT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Östensson. Firefighter Jr BT's Sebastian Rogoz was substituted for Eusebiu Itu. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alin Fenici to make the kick off.
