The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Iordache Şerbănoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCM BACAU's supporters rose to their feet, but Iordache Şerbănoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Ene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Braica having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Minulescu got free with Francisc Braica in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Matei Joldea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FCM BACAU's zone, Matei Joldea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Braica came out of the goal and Matei Joldea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FCM BACAU's Cezar Zdrenghea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cst. Iordache Şerbănoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niculae Ecobici read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nistor Ene to strike the kick off in the second half. Matei Joldea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cst had won after a very even match.
