Petruț Tătăruşanu in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Costel Peptan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Costel Peptan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 40th minute Ion Postelnicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Chiose saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Chiose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Postelnicu in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ion Postelnicu to make the kick off.
