In the 25th minute Luca Ianculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Usk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jüri Lepp did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Paul Pintea 27 minutes into the match. Seyfullah Ferhat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seyfullah Ferhat got free with Paul Pintea in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 42 minutes, Seyfullah Ferhat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fulgerul Pancota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seyfullah Ferhat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seyfullah Ferhat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

FC Universitatea Craiova's Remus Vulcănescu was substituted for Emanuel Dumitrachescu. 53 minutes into the match, Jüri Lepp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Pintea.
