But to his dismay, Claudiu Alucusan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Nicu Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, Petrisul's Claudiu Alucusan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebiu Mareș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Nastase's Marcu Stolnicu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eusebiu Mareș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Alucusan, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Alin Roman kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grigore Verzeanu during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Petrisul booed when Nastase was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Nicorici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manole Nedelcea made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Daniel Vulpe sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, Petrisul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Logofeteanu to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Petrisul's Claudiu Alucusan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octav Iorgulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Nedelcea having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Petrisul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Tripon to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudiu Alucusan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Nastase's Eusebiu Mareș got control of the ball when Aurel Tripon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manole Nedelcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Iorgulescu in the 55th minute of the match. Nastase's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudiu Alucusan 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Cristinel Șeimeanu got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Daniel Vulpe. With a little luck, Nastase's Eusebiu Mareș got control of the ball when Iustin Cândroveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute, Iustin Cândroveanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebiu Mareș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 69th minute of the match, Claudiu Alucusan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eusebiu Mareș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 74th minute, Răzvan Unchiaşu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebiu Mareș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. If Daniel Vulpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Nastase's goalkeeper Eusebiu Mareș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Alucusan. Eusebiu Mareș made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Aurel Tripon sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Petrisul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nastase throughout the match.
