The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damian Pânzariu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. In the 9th match minute, Cst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Oros to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Cst's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Ianculescu came free, but Niculae Ecobici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niculae Ecobici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Ailenei in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match, Matei Joldea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paul Pintea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 21 minutes into the match, Cst's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Alexiu came free, but Niculae Ecobici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Adrian Ailenei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Universitatea Craiova's Adrian Ailenei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niculae Ecobici. That made the score 0-3 after 77 minutes of play. After 82 minutes, Nicu Minulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cst and the FC Universitatea Craiova players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cst's Nicu Minulescu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Luca Ianculescus short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Niculae Ecobici to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sebastian Oros's late challenge caught a FC Universitatea Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Oros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Cst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Oros to maneuver through the defense. Niculae Ecobici was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Luca Ianculescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Ianculescu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. The Cst fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Universitatea Craiova were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
