Spectators: 7436 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) RADA's Corneliu Crăcană started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corneliu Crăcană took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusebiu Mareș. Eusebiu Mareș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Remus Vlădoiu's late challenge caught a RADA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remus Vlădoiu helped the player get up and apologised. Eusebiu Mareș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sorin Brumaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, RADA's Gică Leahu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebiu Mareș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17th minute Corneliu Crăcană shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Mareș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebiu Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Leahu in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Sorin Brumaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Mareș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Nastase's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Brumaru came free, but Eusebiu Mareș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nastase's Eusebiu Mareș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Achiriloaie in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to RADA getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Martin Burghelea hit a great ball. The supporters of Nastase booed when RADA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Achiriloaie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Nastase's Remus Vlădoiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alex Sălcudeanu. That made the score 1-2 after 32 minutes of play. Eusebiu Mareș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Crăcană in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Nastase was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Nicorici to maneuver through the defense. Anton Zâncă hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Sorin Brumaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Mareș having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Sorin Brumaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RADA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nastase the free kick. After the first half RADA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Octav Iorgulescu made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, RADA's Gică Leahu got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Doicaru got free with Eusebiu Mareș in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eusebiu Mareș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Achiriloaie in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match, Martin Burghelea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eusebiu Mareș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Remus Vlădoiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 63rd match minute, Nastase was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Vlădoiu to maneuver through the defense. Avram Botea might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eusebiu Mareș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Avram Botea ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Crăcană in the 77th minute of play forced Nastase's goalkeeper Eusebiu Mareș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Nastase's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Crăcană came free, but Eusebiu Mareș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avram Botea scored 1-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusebiu Mareș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Avram Botea notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Nastase's Eusebiu Mareș. Eusebiu Mareș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusebiu Mareș made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Sorin Brumaru sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Brumaru in the 93rd minute of play forced Nastase's goalkeeper Eusebiu Mareș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebiu Mareș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sorin Brumaru in the 95th minute. Anton Zâncă kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Alin Achiriloaie managed to get in a good position for a shot. RADA's supporters rose to their feet, but Alin Achiriloaie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebiu Mareș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
