The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Cinteză got free with Vlad Fânaru in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 played minutes FC MILITARI got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Davidescu. Grigore Furdui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Gruescu in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, FC MILITARI's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Gruescu came free, but Grigore Furdui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC MILITARI were furious when Emil Nenciu was red carded, 14 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 13 minutes into the game, one of FC MILITARI:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC MILITARI:s Grigore Furdui showed great skill when he stopped Călin Boltașu:s penalty. 16 minutes into the match, Călin Boltașu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC MILITARI's Grigore Furdui. Grigore Furdui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grigore Furdui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Gruescu in the 22nd minute of the match. Grigore Furdui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Gruescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, FC MILITARI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Jupân to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes of play, Avantul Grindu's Liviu Gruescu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grigore Furdui was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olimpiu Jupân charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olimpiu Jupân the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Avantul Grindu booed when FC MILITARI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Jupân didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC MILITARI's Grigore Furdui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Boltașu in the 36th minute of play. Grigore Furdui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Gruescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Bejan kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Alin Morovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Fânaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Călin Boltașu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes FC MILITARI got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Buculeasa. Liviu Gruescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Grigore Furdui could save by the left post. FC MILITARI's Grigore Furdui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Boltașu in the 56th minute of play. When Liviu Gruescu came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Avantul Grindu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Gruescu couldn't finish the play. FC MILITARI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Irinel Cozac scored to the left of an out of position Grigore Furdui, making the score, 0-3. Călin Boltașu struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Grigore Furdui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avantul Grindu. Grigore Furdui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liviu Gruescu in the 70th minute. Călin Boltașu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grigore Furdui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Nichifor Chiru's late challenge caught a Avantul Grindu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Chiru helped the player get up and apologised. Nichifor Chiru kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Grigore Furdui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Boltașu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC MILITARI booed when Avantul Grindu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Enescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, FC MILITARI's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Boltașu came free, but Grigore Furdui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Davidescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Vlad Fânaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Gruescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Grigore Furdui skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Avantul Grindu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Avantul Grindu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
