Fabian Bodnar kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Achifoaiei came free, but Aron Magheran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Ciocoiu in the 12th minute of play forced Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Aron Magheran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Ursulescu in the 14th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Magheran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordache Bujor, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nechifor Mustea. Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's Aron Magheran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Ciocoiu in the 21st minute of play. Steaua Bucuresti's Aurel Ciocoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nechifor Mustea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Steaua Bucuresti's Iulian Urducea got control of the ball when Nechifor Mustea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes, Lucian Achifoaiei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steaua Bucuresti and the Raducanu Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Achifoaiei. After 34 minutes of play Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's Fabian Bodnar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 35th minute, Fabian Bodnar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nechifor Mustea in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iulian Urducea saved Steaua Bucuresti from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's Nechifor Mustea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nechifor Mustea made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lucian Achifoaiei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aron Magheran was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when Raducanu Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nechifor Mustea scored 3-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iulian Urducea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steaua Bucuresti's Iulian Urducea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Mustea in the 64th minute of play. Steaua Bucuresti's Lucian Achifoaiei got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Lucian Achifoaiei off the ground. A collision led to Steaua Bucuresti getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lucian Achifoaiei hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nechifor Mustea in the 67th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iulian Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nechifor Mustea in the 70th minute of play. Iordache Bujor was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 93 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Bujor. When Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's Nechifor Mustea in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steaua Bucuresti's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Raducanu Cluj-Napoca fully deserved thier win.
