After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Petrică Ailenei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delta Tulcea's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Ailenei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Neghină breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgil Neghină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihai Voinea in the 9th minute of play. Paul Feroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Mustățea in the 16th minute of the match. Toader Melentie hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Mustățea in the 18th minute of play forced Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Paul Feroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Mihai Voinea lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Virgil Neghină. After 21 played minutes Delta Tulcea got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Voinea. Paul Feroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Axinte in the 23rd minute of play. When Petrică Ailenei came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Delta Tulcea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Ailenei couldn't finish the play. Paul Feroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Axinte in the 31st minute of play. In the 38th minute, Delta Tulcea's Petrică Ailenei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Dragoş Fărcașu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paul Feroiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilie Mustățea's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Mihai Voinea made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's Petrică Ailenei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgil Neghină narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ilie Mustățea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Paul Feroiu made a huge save. Paul Feroiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Axinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Delta Tulcea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Ailenei to maneuver through the defense. Ilie Mustățea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Paul Feroiu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudiu Onofrei was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delta Tulcea! An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Axinte in the 66th minute of play forced Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Paul Feroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toader Melentie during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Phoenix Seini -MM- booed when Delta Tulcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Melentie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corneliu Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Corneliu Nae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delta Tulcea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corneliu Nae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petrică Ailenei struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Virgil Neghină didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delta Tulcea. In the 87th match minute, Delta Tulcea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Ailenei to maneuver through the defense. Paul Feroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Axinte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Axinte came free, but Paul Feroiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 played minutes Delta Tulcea got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Ailenei. Ilie Mustățea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Delta Tulcea were victorious despite being under pressure from Phoenix Seini -MM- for much of the match.
