The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Virgil Neghină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Ursulescu in the 18th minute of play. If Sever Axinte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nechifor Mustea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Denis Ursulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Horaţiu Blidaru fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phoenix Seini -MM-'s protests and gave Horaţiu Blidaru a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Phoenix Seini -MM- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Raducanu Cluj-Napoca. Marin Donose stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Virgil Neghină. 0-2. Denis Ursulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Nechifor Mustea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Neghină was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Vintilă Răuţă kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Mustățea got free with Aron Magheran in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Phoenix Seini -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Raducanu Cluj-Napoca were winning 0-2.

Sever Axinte's late challenge caught a Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sever Axinte helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Phoenix Seini -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Axinte to maneuver through the defense. Răzvan Gherasescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Aron Magheran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nechifor Mustea couldn't finish the play. Virgil Neghină stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nechifor Mustea's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Aron Magheran came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Ilie Mustățea. But to his dismay, Ilie Mustățea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ilie Mustățea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Aron Magheran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavius Sântimbrean charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavius Sântimbrean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With 91 minutes on the clock, Sabin Balaban commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Raducanu Cluj-Napoca! Sever Axinte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raducanu Cluj-Napoca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
