Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marian Cimpoieru kicked off to start the match. When Marian Drogoreanu came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the YR☆ Rossoneri™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Drogoreanu couldn't finish the play. After 11 played minutes Plapcea got a freekick which was hit by Marian Cimpoieru. Marian Cimpoieru's late challenge caught a YR☆ Rossoneri™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Cimpoieru helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Plapcea getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Marian Cimpoieru hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Ferdinand Bodiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Dinu Bungescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Baiano. Plapcea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinu Bungescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Plapcea's goalkeeper Chico Baiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Drogoreanu. Florin Suşu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Bodiu in the 33rd minute of play. Plapcea's Chico Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Voina in the 39th minute of play. After 44 minutes, Moise Mihele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plapcea and the YR☆ Rossoneri™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, one of Plapcea:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Plapcea. Mihăiţă Voina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marian Drogoreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Mihăiţă Voina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihăiţă Voina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Chico Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marian Drogoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Plapcea's zone, Marian Drogoreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Baiano came out of the goal and Marian Drogoreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Plapcea got a freekick which was hit by Marian Cimpoieru. Mihăiţă Voina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Plopeanu charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Plopeanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Plapcea's zone, Mihăiţă Voina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Baiano came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Voina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chico Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Bungescu in the 84th minute of the match. YR☆ Rossoneri™'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantin Maniu in the 89th minute. The supporters of YR☆ Rossoneri™ booed when Plapcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Gârniceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. YR☆ Rossoneri™'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
