In the 11th minute Denis Stanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Haidău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Stanca in the 17th minute of play forced FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Horea Haidău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Denis Stanca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alsovroszi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s Horea Haidău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Ortiz in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Alin Andriescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alsovroszi's supporters rose to their feet, but Alin Andriescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horea Haidău breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Alsovroszi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Stanca to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Alsovroszi's goalkeeper Eduard Costescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Sălcudeanu. Vali Mitrofan successfully managed to get himself past Alsovroszi's defense and had a dream possibility and totally alone with Eduard Costescu everyone thought he would score, but the ball went just outside the top right corner. If Sergiu Sălcudeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Costescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Maniu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alin Andriescu came free, but Horea Haidău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iordache Siadbei kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. FC Univ. Craiova-Stiinta-'s Horea Haidău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Abutnăriței in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
