Ion Popoacă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iacob Mărculescu having to make a save. After 27 played minutes FC Pirciu got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Păsărin. Marcu Chinezu in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vintilă Zegreanu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iacob Mărculescu saved -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI from getting behind. FC Pirciu's Sergiu Dorian got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Octavian Isăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Chinezu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Pirciu booed when -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Lupșe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Ion Popoacă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ion Popoacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Iacob Mărculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustin Păsărin kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sever Iorgovan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iacob Mărculescu. That made the score 0-4 in the 82 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vintilă Zegreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iacob Mărculescu was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Ion Popoacă struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Iacob Mărculescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pirciu. In the 94th minute of the match Leontin Lăceanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Isăilă skillfully saved the ball.
