A collision led to FC Pirciu getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Adrian Iacobescu hit a great ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Ion Popoacă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pirciu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Popoacă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iacob Mărculescu made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Vintilă Zegreanu sent off a good shot on target. Vintilă Zegreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Mărculescu having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Ştefănică during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. David Ştefănică hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ion Popoacă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Isac Siadbei hit a great ball. Ion Popoacă might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iacob Mărculescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ion Popoacă ran back to his position shaking his head. Iustin Păsărin's late challenge caught a -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iustin Păsărin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Pirciu's Iustin Păsărin got a free kick in the 27th minute. Vintilă Zegreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Zegreanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Iacob Mărculescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Ion Popoacă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iacob Mărculescu was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Iustin Păsărin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iustin Păsărin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Iustin Păsărin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Iacob Mărculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI booed when FC Pirciu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Afloarei didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

-BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI were furious when Dacian Nițoi was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's Dacian Nițoi got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes, FC Pirciu's Sergiu Dorian shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iacob Mărculescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Pirciu reached it. Vintilă Zegreanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iacob Mărculescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Vintilă Zegreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's Iacob Mărculescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's zone, Sever Iorgovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Mărculescu came out of the goal and Sever Iorgovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iacob Mărculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Popoacă in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Vintilă Zegreanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iacob Mărculescu. -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vintilă Zegreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's goalkeeper Iacob Mărculescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iacob Mărculescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vintilă Zegreanu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Octavian Isăilă made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Marcu Chinezu sent off a good shot on target. Vintilă Zegreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Mărculescu having to interfere. Ion Popoacă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After recieving a nice pass, FC Pirciu's Sergiu Dorian tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. FC Pirciu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
