When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ciprian Epure put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dan Homeag. With a little luck, FC National 1944's Dan Homeag got control of the ball when Niculae Şania tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horia Melinte kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ciprian Epure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Homeag having to interfere. After 18 played minutes FC National 1944 got a freekick which was hit by Paul Balotă. 19 minutes into the game, Damian Cazimir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC National 1944's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov the free kick. Damian Cazimir hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dinu Oncescu's late challenge caught a FC National 1944's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinu Oncescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Oncescu to maneuver through the defense. ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Basarab Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Aluchei in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Flavius Bojincă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC National 1944 and the ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov players grew even worse after the yellow card. Doru Zăvoianu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC National 1944 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Doru Zăvoianu hit a great ball. FC National 1944's Niculae Râmniceanu suffered a concussion after 46 minutes and had to leave the field. Dinu Oncescu was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 47 played minutes ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Oncescu.

ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Basarab Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov from getting a goal against them. Basarab Nuțu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ştefan Aluchei in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ştefan Aluchei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basarab Nuțu. That made the score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucian Cangeopol during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Lucian Cangeopol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niculae Şania helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Niculae Şania got a free kick in the 76th minute. Dan Homeag stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Epure's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Basarab Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Aluchei in the 85th minute of play. Ştefan Aluchei struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Basarab Nuțu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC National 1944. When ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov's Ciprian Epure in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC National 1944's goalie prevented a goal. Basarab Nuțu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ştefan Aluchei sent off a good shot on target. Ciprian Epure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC National 1944 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ACS Echipa Ursilor Brasov had controlled the match.
