In the 34thth minute of the game Sebastian Pintilie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's Iacob Mărculescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucian Râznicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grigore Grecu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Darabonț having to interfere. 41 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when GAYA FC's Sebastian Pintilie fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Râznicu came free, but Iacob Mărculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grigore Grecu was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Râznicu in the 51st minute of play forced -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI's goalkeeper Iacob Mărculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Darabonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Chinezu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee showed Eugen Andronescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI booed when GAYA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Andronescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 59th minute of the match Marcu Chinezu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcu Chinezu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 60th minute, Marcu Chinezu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Grigore Grecu came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the -BZF-INTER STEAUA CANESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Grecu couldn't finish the play. Iacob Mărculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Râznicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. GAYA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silviu Gâfu in the 87th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sergiu Crăcană got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-4. 87 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Andronescu got free with Iacob Mărculescu in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Pintilie made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 96thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Iacob Mărculescu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. GAYA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
