After a rather tough play, Diudiu's Dan Pătrășconiu got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5thth minute of the game Alin Zgîrţa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diudiu's Ionică Tomoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Mihăiţă Ologu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Rada during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diudiu getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marius Rada hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Diudiu's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Ologu came free, but Ionică Tomoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionică Tomoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Poplăcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Poplăcan in the 32nd minute of play forced Diudiu's goalkeeper Ionică Tomoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Zgîrţa in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Tomoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Diudiu's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Zgîrţa came free, but Ionică Tomoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Pătrășconiu in the 41st minute of play forced SC Ursul Brun's goalkeeper Valentin Tudoran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petrică Poplăcan made a kick off. When the final whistle sounded SC Ursul Brun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Diudiu.
