Lucian Nechifor charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Voetesti booed when Academia M.Balan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Nechifor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academia M.Balan's Octavian Blajovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Vorniceanu in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Vorniceanu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Blajovan saved Academia M.Balan from getting behind. Tudor Vorniceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Blajovan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Tudor Aanuţei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Penciulescu having to interfere. If Virgil Udrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Voetesti's Iustinian Penciulescu got control of the ball when Tudor Aanuţei tried to sneak it across the goal line.
