If Augustin Maruță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Udrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ion Manciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Sever Cornea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia M.Balan's goalkeeper Octavian Blajovan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabin Coroian's late challenge caught a Academia M.Balan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sabin Coroian helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Academia M.Balan getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cristian Stoica hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Maruță got free with Ion Manciulescu in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC NFC's Viorel Ghișe got a free kick in the 31st minute. Augustin Maruță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Octavian Blajovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Coroian in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Ionică Stătescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Sabin Coroian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Coroian in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Blajovan saved Academia M.Balan from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a defensive mix-up in FC NFC's zone, Augustin Maruță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Manciulescu came out of the goal and Augustin Maruță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 52 minutes into the game, Augustin Maruță cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ion Manciulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute, Cristian Stoica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Academia M.Balan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC NFC:s goal. In the 62nd minute, FC NFC's Sergiu Gugea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavian Blajovan. Octavian Blajovan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Marian Comișel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Octavian Blajovan made a huge save. Academia M.Balan's Octavian Blajovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Coroian in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Marian Comișel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC NFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Comișel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Stoica kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Octavian Blajovan stood somewhat misplaced when Sabin Coroian came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Marian Comișel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Blajovan having to interfere. Academia M.Balan's Augustin Maruță got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marian Comișel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Octavian Blajovan managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when FC NFC's Marian Comișel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sabin Coroian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Blajovan having to make a save. Marian Comișel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Blajovan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Virgil Udrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Ion Manciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
