After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Pompiliu Mantoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ionică Tomoiu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Academia M.Balan's Augustin Maruță. But to his dismay, Augustin Maruță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Lucian Nechifor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Tomoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Aanuţei in the 41st minute of the match. When Diudiu's Dan Pătrășconiu in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Pătrășconiu made a kick off. With a little luck, Diudiu's Ionică Tomoiu got control of the ball when Augustin Maruță tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Cristian Stoica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Tudor Aanuţei suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Ionică Tomoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Diudiu getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Pompiliu Mantoiu hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Cristian Stoica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pompiliu Mantoiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. After 79 played minutes Diudiu got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Mantoiu. Augustin Maruță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ionică Tomoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Herea's late challenge caught a Academia M.Balan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florin Herea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Florin Herea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Augustin Maruță got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Dorian in the 92nd minute of play forced Diudiu's goalkeeper Ionică Tomoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 99 played minutes Diudiu got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Vârșan.
