Marcel Uncheşelu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucian Nechifor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. In the 85th match minute, MANCHESTER CITY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Gurlui to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 90 minutes, Valer Crăciun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia M.Balan's goalkeeper Octavian Blajovan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ilie Mihele managed to get in a good position for a shot. MANCHESTER CITY's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilie Mihele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Blajovan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
