Alex Godeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Mijlocul AC's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Vătăşel came free, but Alex Godeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Capotestii FC booed when Mijlocul AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Mihăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Capotestii FC's Damian Şoiman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Godeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 47 minutes into the match, Mijlocul AC's goalkeeper Alex Godeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Şoiman. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Chircu was the one to do the kick off. When Vintilă Ciocan came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Capotestii FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vintilă Ciocan couldn't finish the play. Alex Godeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Şoiman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Damian Şoiman made a precise shot to the right of Alex Godeanu. Mijlocul AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 77 minutes of play, Capotestii FC's Dumitru Bălășoiu made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Godeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute Gigi Vătăşel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Godeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capotestii FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
