Spectators: 7154 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vintilă Ciocan started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Ciocan in the 4th minute of play forced Diudiu's goalkeeper Ionică Tomoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diudiu's goalkeeper Ionică Tomoiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Capotestii FC's goalkeeper Horia Marinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Şteflea. In the 14th match minute, Diudiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Mantoiu to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dumitru Bălășoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionică Tomoiu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Ionică Tomoiu came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Capotestii FC's Dumitru Bălășoiu. In the 25th minute, Damian Şoiman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capotestii FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ionică Tomoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Bălășoiu in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Diudiu's Pompiliu Mantoiu got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Florin Herea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes of play, Capotestii FC's Dumitru Bălășoiu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ionică Tomoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dumitru Bălășoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionică Tomoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Pătrășconiu made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Dumitru Bălășoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capotestii FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Bălășoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugen Scaeru during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Diudiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Scaeru to maneuver through the defense. Ionică Tomoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Vătăşel in the 56th minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Capotestii FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Ciocan to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Vintilă Ciocan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 66th minute of the match, Vintilă Ciocan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionică Tomoiu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Damian Şoiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Ciocan in the 70th minute of play forced Diudiu's goalkeeper Ionică Tomoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumitru Bălășoiu struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ionică Tomoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capotestii FC. Capotestii FC's Vintilă Ciocan got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Capotestii FC defense, Dan Pătrășconiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horia Marinescu. The Capotestii FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horia Marinescu should have stopped the shot. Damian Şoiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ionică Tomoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Damian Şoiman came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Capotestii FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Şoiman couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Diudiu's zone, Gigi Vătăşel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionică Tomoiu came out of the goal and Gigi Vătăşel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dumitru Bălășoiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ionică Tomoiu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dumitru Bălășoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th match minute, Diudiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Mantoiu to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Capotestii FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Diudiu.
