The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costel Vladimirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Costel Vladimirescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Sadjc's supporters rose to their feet, but Costel Vladimirescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Bornescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlad Tăutu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Maxim Bornescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sorin Pelin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Bornescu made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Costel Vladimirescu sent off a good shot on target. If Costel Vladimirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC National's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Sorin Pelin scored to the left of an out of position Maxim Bornescu, making the score, 1-0. Maxim Bornescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sadjc's Costel Vladimirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Costel Vladimirescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Bornescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Vladimirescu struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Maxim Bornescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Sadjc. In the 69th minute, Sorin Pelin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxim Bornescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Costel Vladimirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Sorin Pelin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Sadjc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sorin Pelin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of F.C. Sadjc booed when FC National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Tăutu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costel Vladimirescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Bornescu having to interfere. Șerban Curta scored 4-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxim Bornescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Costel Vladimirescu made a precise shot to the right of Maxim Bornescu. FC National's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Maxim Bornescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Vladimirescu in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the F.C. Sadjc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
