Spectators: 7696 (Terracing: 5773, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) FC National's Filip Joldea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maxim Bornescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Zburliş's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After some careless play in the FC National defense, Eric Zburliş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxim Bornescu. The FC National fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxim Bornescu should have stopped the shot. Nichifor Băcila hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Eric Zburliş's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxim Bornescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Răzvan Tatu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurel Martinescu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Eric Zburliş scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxim Bornescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denis Neaga kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Iulian Stroie hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Fabian Turcescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aurel Martinescu. The supporters of fc.zarnesti.brasov booed when FC National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Tăutu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Zburliş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Bornescu having to interfere. Maxim Bornescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Zburliş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panait Arsenescu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Fabian Turcescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC National.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Zburliş made a kick off. A hard shot 54 in the game by Eric Zburliş from a close distance when the talented Maxim Bornescu managed to make a qualified save. FC National's players were relieved. Maxim Bornescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Zburliş in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as fc.zarnesti.brasov's Ivan Bălan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maxim Bornescu. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. Eric Zburliş struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Maxim Bornescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc.zarnesti.brasov. Filip Joldea kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Eric Zburliş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC National's zone, Eric Zburliş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim Bornescu came out of the goal and Eric Zburliş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Ivan Bălan managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc.zarnesti.brasov's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Bălan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Bornescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Zburliş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Maxim Bornescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Bornescu was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Eric Zburliş capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eric Zburliş really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. FC National's Maxim Bornescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC National from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Eric Zburliş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxim Bornescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. After 90 played minutes FC National got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Tăutu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Zburliş in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Bornescu saved FC National from getting behind. With a little luck, FC National's Maxim Bornescu got control of the ball when Dorel Nișu tried to sneak it across the goal line. fc.zarnesti.brasov's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
