Matau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavian Magheran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Gigi Mincu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nechifor Baltian. Nechifor Baltian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Fărcășan in the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Matau defense, Codruț Ciorăscu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nechifor Baltian. The Matau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nechifor Baltian should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dragoş Şunda to strike the kick off in the second half. Codruț Ciorăscu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Baltian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Hashu's Codruț Ciorăscu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nechifor Baltian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 68 minutes into the match, Matau's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Ciorăscu came free, but Nechifor Baltian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Romeo Irimescu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matau's protests and gave Romeo Irimescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Matau getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Romeo Irimescu hit a great ball. Mihai Rebengiuc hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Fărcășan in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Baltian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Codruț Ciorăscu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matau's Romeo Irimescu got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Romeo Irimescu off the ground. Romeo Irimescu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Alin Fărcășans short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Nechifor Baltian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nechifor Baltian came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Hashu's Codruț Ciorăscu. But to his dismay, Codruț Ciorăscu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Nicu Goanță charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Goanță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Nicu Goanță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nechifor Baltian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Fărcășan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codruț Ciorăscu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Baltian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Dragoş Şunda kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. 99 minutes into the game, Gabriel Posteucă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hashu the free kick. The supporters of Hashu booed when Matau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Posteucă didn't get a good kick on the ball.
