Avram Dănănae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Maxim Zdrăilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avram Dănănae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 32 minutes on the clock, Ionel Bălășoiu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Rapid București:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Ciupa:s goal. The goalkeeper, Bobby Ares, was totally fooled by FC Ciupa's Zé Pedro Cerezo, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Damian Zafiu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Maxim Zdrăilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid București. 柳远星 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Ares having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Lucrețiu Burghelea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapid București and the FC Ciupa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Zafiu was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Ciupa booed when Rapid București was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Pantelimon didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ciupa's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidiu Tomoioagă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bobby Ares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Rapid București's Maxim Zdrăilă threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damian Zafiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dániel Ludas spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Rapid București's goal. Bobby Ares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Tomoioagă, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Damian Zafiu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Rapid București fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Zafiu couldn't finish the play. If Ovidiu Tomoioagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Ciupa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rapid București had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
