Petrică Grindeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Bogdan Dobrescu made a huge save. Bogdan Dobrescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Corbeanu in the 27th minute of play. FC Aquatic Bucuresti's Bogdan Dobrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Corbeanu in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Grindeanu got free with Bogdan Dobrescu in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristi Corbeanu in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Dobrescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes in the game, Cristi Corbeanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bogdan Dobrescu having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Aquatic Bucuresti's Bogdan Dobrescu got control of the ball when Petrică Grindeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bogdan Dobrescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Corbeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

In the 64th minute Cristi Corbeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Dobrescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Petrică Grindeanu notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC Aquatic Bucuresti's Bogdan Dobrescu. Carpeni Athletic walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
