The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Drăghici during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Romeo Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeriu Anastasiu got free with Gică Orghidan in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Romeo Şumălan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeo Şumălan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gică Orghidan made a huge save. After 25 played minutes Hagiomer got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Magherescu. Moise Rioşanu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gică Orghidan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. Vasile Agusoaei kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hagiomer's Gică Orghidan got control of the ball when Romeo Şumălan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Valeriu Anastasiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gică Orghidan. The goal made the score 2-0. Gică Orghidan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Anastasiu in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Moise Rioşanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gică Orghidan. Hagiomer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moise Rioşanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Amurăriței to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Manchester City's Valeriu Anastasiu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gică Orghidan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Lamine Yamal came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Manchester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lamine Yamal couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Hagiomer's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Anastasiu came free, but Gică Orghidan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisc Horațiu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Gică Orghidan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. After a defensive mix-up in Hagiomer's zone, Valeriu Anastasiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gică Orghidan came out of the goal and Valeriu Anastasiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gică Orghidan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Şumălan's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Gică Orghidan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Anastasiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Gică Orghidan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Anastasiu in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the game Nichifor Enescu made a throw-in which Manuel Magherescu played forward. Mihai Rădescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Hagiomer's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 77th minute, one of Manchester City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manchester City. With a little luck, Manchester City's Manole Șeitan got control of the ball when Mihai Rădescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Moise Rioşanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Hagiomer's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Miclescu came free, but Gică Orghidan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Moise Rioşanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Moise Rioşanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Orghidan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gică Orghidan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Manchester City booed when Hagiomer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Amurăriței didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester City's Romeo Şumălan got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
