In the 9th minute, Moise Bulcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12th play minutes Valeriu Anastasiu shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Bogdan Dobrescu and just under the crossbar into goal. Bogdan Dobrescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kylian Mbappè in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kylian Mbappè in the 19th minute of play forced FC Aquatic Bucuresti's goalkeeper Bogdan Dobrescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Dobrescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Anastasiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Valeriu Anastasiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valeriu Anastasiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kylian Mbappè succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Bogdan Dobrescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kylian Mbappè in the 29th minute of the match. Bogdan Dobrescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bogdan Dobrescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Eric Culiță made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kylian Mbappè kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bogdan Dobrescu. That made the score 0-6 in the 52 minute of play. FC Aquatic Bucuresti's Florin Craia got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Florin Craia off the ground. 61 minutes into the match, FC Aquatic Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Anastasiu came free, but Bogdan Dobrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kylian Mbappè fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Dobrescu having to interfere. Bogdan Dobrescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valeriu Anastasiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 70 minute of play. Leontin Ecobici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, FC Aquatic Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Rioşanu came free, but Bogdan Dobrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Aquatic Bucuresti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Valeriu Anastasiu scored to the left of an out of position Bogdan Dobrescu, making the score, 0-9. Leontin Ecobici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bogdan Dobrescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Valeriu Anastasiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Bogdan Dobrescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the game, Ion Miclescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Aquatic Bucuresti's Moise Bulcă quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Balaban got free with Bogdan Dobrescu in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gheorghe Gheorghiu fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Aquatic Bucuresti's protests and gave Gheorghe Gheorghiu a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes FC Aquatic Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Gheorghiu. The FC Aquatic Bucuresti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Manchester City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
