Lucrețiu Stafie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Lucrețiu Stafie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Baran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Mugur Atanasiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manic the free kick. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Mugur Geantă got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lucrețiu Stafie was a little too slow when Cătălin Mușat got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-8. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Baran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucrețiu Stafie was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
