Radu Alucai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Saulita's Emilian Hagi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinu Cârneci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Emilian Hagi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 40th minute, Emilian Hagi made a precise shot to the right of Dinu Cârneci. FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit defense, Emilian Hagi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinu Cârneci. The FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinu Cârneci should have stopped the shot. The FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saulita were winning 0-3.

Saulita's Emilian Hagi got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Marian Siniştean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saulita the free kick. Laurențiu Iacobeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
