Spectators: 7585 (Terracing: 5744, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mihăiţă Mititelu started the match with the kick off. Costin Dobrițoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Panaite went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 7th minute Marius Stăniloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Dobrițoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Calistrat Voicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes, Dorneni's Petrică Vulcănescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucrețiu Augustin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dorneni reached it. Horia Beșleaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costin Dobrițoiu made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Marius Stăniloaie sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Panaite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Costin Dobrițoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Costin Dobrițoiu managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Nuntasi AFC's Marius Stăniloaie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 23rd minute of the match, Edgar Panaite got a very nice opportunity to score, but Costin Dobrițoiu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dorneni's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iordache Rădoi was slow to take the kick. During this time Nuntasi AFC's players had a chance to rest. In the 26th match minute, Nuntasi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Dascălu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Rusu in the 33rd minute of play forced Nuntasi AFC's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Augustin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuntasi AFC's Lucrețiu Augustin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Mititelu in the 34th minute of play. Lucrețiu Augustin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Drăgănoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Horia Beșleaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Dobrițoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Cazimir Costandache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dorneni's supporters rose to their feet, but Cazimir Costandache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucrețiu Augustin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horia Beșleaga to make the kick off. Marius Stăniloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Dobrițoiu having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudiu Drăgănoiu got free with Lucrețiu Augustin in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Marius Stăniloaie came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Nuntasi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Stăniloaie couldn't finish the play. Horia Beșleaga scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Costin Dobrițoiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudiu Drăgănoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucrețiu Augustin having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Nuntasi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Mititelu came free, but Lucrețiu Augustin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horia Beșleaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Marius Stăniloaie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuntasi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Stăniloaie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 73 minutes on the clock, Nicodim Rusu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dorneni! Marius Stăniloaie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Costin Dobrițoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Edgar Panaite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Costin Dobrițoiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Costin Dobrițoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Stăniloaie's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Marius Stăniloaie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dorneni's Costin Dobrițoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Costin Dobrițoiu came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Nuntasi AFC's Marius Stăniloaie. But to his dismay, Marius Stăniloaie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 94 minutes into the match, Dorneni's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Panaite came free, but Costin Dobrițoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nuntasi AFC had played much better football throughout.
