Irinel Cângea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Zbârciog in the 10th minute of the match. Moise Zbârciog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Irinel Cângea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moise Zbârciog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Moise Zbârciog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irinel Cângea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Zbârciog in the 21st minute of play forced FCC ICIM Arad's goalkeeper Irinel Cângea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Mihele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Irinel Cângea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moise Zbârciog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Cângea having to interfere. In the 27th minute, FCC ICIM Arad's Corneliu Astafei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gheorghe Gherasim. Gheorghe Gherasim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in FCC ICIM Arad's zone, Moise Zbârciog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Cângea came out of the goal and Moise Zbârciog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Naeni booed when FCC ICIM Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Măgherușan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Moise Zbârciog had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irinel Cângea. FCC ICIM Arad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moise Zbârciog was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Moise Zbârciog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Irinel Cângea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FCC ICIM Arad's goalkeeper Irinel Cângea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidiu Popete stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gheorghe Gherasim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Popete's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ernest Puișoru in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FCC ICIM Arad's Florin Măgherușan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Popete in the 55th minute of play forced Naeni's goalkeeper Gheorghe Gherasim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gheorghe Gherasim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Popete, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Irinel Cângea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Zbârciog in the 57th minute of play. Emanuel Cezar might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irinel Cângea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Cezar ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Naeni's Moise Zbârciog slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Irinel Cângea. That made the score 1-4 after 75 minutes of play. FCC ICIM Arad's Florin Măgherușan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ernest Puișoru in the 79 minute of the game. 83 minutes in the game, Moise Zbârciog dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Moise Zbârciog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Cângea having to interfere. Moise Zbârciog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
