Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ovidiu Popete started the match with the kick off. In the 2ndth minute of the game Moise Zbârciog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCC ICIM Arad's Irinel Cângea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moise Zbârciog in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Cângea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moise Zbârciog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Irinel Cângea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Gherasim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Popete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Ovidiu Popete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Gherasim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Zbârciog scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Irinel Cângea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Naeni's Moise Zbârciog managed to work through FCC ICIM Arad's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Moise Zbârciog dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Irinel Cângea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moise Zbârciog in the 25th minute of play. Irinel Cângea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Zbârciog's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Mihele in the 29th minute of play forced FCC ICIM Arad's goalkeeper Irinel Cângea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moise Zbârciog received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irinel Cângea came out and tried to block the shot, but Moise Zbârciog slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 31st minute. If Moise Zbârciog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Zbârciog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Victor Mihele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Mihele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irinel Cângea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Zbârciog, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Moise Zbârciog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

55 minutes into the game, Petruț Bobocea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Naeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCC ICIM Arad the free kick. The supporters of FCC ICIM Arad booed when Naeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Bobocea didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ovidiu Popete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Zbârciog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Cângea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Emanuel Cezar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Moise Zbârciog cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Irinel Cângea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Corneliu Astafei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidiu Popete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alexandru Pavelescu's late challenge caught a Naeni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandru Pavelescu helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandru Pavelescu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Moise Zbârciog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Irinel Cângea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Moise Zbârciog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Cângea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Zbârciog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Cângea having to interfere. Naeni's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
