Ovidiu Popete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Marius Balint made a huge save. In the 27th minute Fabian Pamfil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Cângea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irinel Cângea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Pavelescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes FCC ICIM Arad got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Pavelescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Pavelescu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Pavelescu in the 42nd minute of play forced FCC ICIM Arad's goalkeeper Irinel Cângea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Petruț Dumitrache charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petruț Dumitrache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of christian team booed when FCC ICIM Arad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Dumitrache didn't get a good kick on the ball. FCC ICIM Arad's Irinel Cângea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Pamfil in the 67th minute of play. Marius Balint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Astafei, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Andrei Vădan hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Corneliu Astafei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marius Balint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Răzvan Măcrinici's late challenge caught a FCC ICIM Arad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Răzvan Măcrinici helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Corneliu Astafei managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCC ICIM Arad's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneliu Astafei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Balint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corneliu Astafei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Buligan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FCC ICIM Arad's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Ivan Pavelescu scored to the left of an out of position Irinel Cângea, making the score, 4-4. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
