Cristinel Berbec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bogdan Savin went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Eusebiu Calboreanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristinel Berbec. The goal made the score 5-0. Cristinel Berbec made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bogdan Savin sent off a good shot on target. Cristinel Berbec was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mugurel Olăroiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 36 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Olăroiu got free with Cristinel Berbec in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Steaua Bucuresti's Cornel Aldea got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristinel Berbec stood somewhat misplaced when Mugurel Olăroiu came free in front of goal and shot 7-0 to the left of him in the 42 minute. After 45 minutes, Liviu Frățilă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -PSC- Craguis and the Steaua Bucuresti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when -PSC- Craguis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Frățilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Mugurel Olăroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Steaua Bucuresti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
