Spectators: 7422 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mihail Druță started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes of play, Espada's Ionel Albeanu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corneliu Drăghici was left in no man's land by his defense there! Espada's Mugurel Graur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Espada from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, Toader Cosariu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihail Druță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugurel Graur having to make a save. Mihail Săndoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Graur having to interfere. When Mircea Piț fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espada's protests and gave Mircea Piț a yellow card for diving instead. Mircea Piț hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Mihail Druță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mugurel Graur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihai Bianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Drăghici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Nechifor in the 41st minute of play. Corneliu Drăghici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Albeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Petruț Baciu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Mircea Piț was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th minute, Mircea Piț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihai Bianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Corneliu Drăghici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Costică Gavrilescu made the kick off in the second half. If Ionel Albeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Costică Gavrilescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Corneliu Drăghici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iordache Bociort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Corneliu Drăghici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Cosariu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Alexandru Bitănescu fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Cordeni's Toader Cosariu suffered a concussion in the 64th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 70 minutes, Mihail Săndoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cordeni and the Espada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iordache Bociort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Drăghici having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Espada's Iordache Bociort dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Costică Gavrilescu struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Corneliu Drăghici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espada. When Ionel Albeanu came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Espada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Albeanu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Albeanu in the 87th minute of play forced Cordeni's goalkeeper Corneliu Drăghici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordeni's Corneliu Drăghici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Cordeni from getting a goal against them. Iordache Bociort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Corneliu Drăghici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costică Gavrilescu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
