Marcel Calota was a little too slow when Toader Enășoiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 30th minute, Ionuț Plop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Nicolcioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Budișteanu having to interfere. Marcel Calota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toader Enășoiu went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sorin Corbeanu to make the kick off.
