Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Silviu Oproiu got the match started through his kick off. In the 23rd minute, Ionuț Plop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match Horea Iorda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Calota skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihnea Voican during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee ignored Straoane's protests and gave George Plopșor a yellow card for diving instead. HFK Făgăraş 1942's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Plop was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
