Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Varciorog's Silviu Oproiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ionel Roşu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marin Negrilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. Ivancauti were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Varciorog's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aurel Cipău took the corner. In the 8thth minute of the game Ionel Roşu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varciorog's Marin Negrilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Roşu in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marin Negrilă saved Varciorog from getting behind. Ivancauti's Leonard Mircescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Oproiu in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Varciorog's Silviu Oproiu got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Ionel Roşu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ionel Roşu scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marin Negrilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th match minute, Varciorog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Iovulescu to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Roşu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marin Negrilă having to make a save. After having played for 31 minutes, Vasile Noica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ivancauti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Noica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionel Roşu in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Negrilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the game, Ivancauti's Marcel Jupâneanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marin Negrilă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Roşu in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marin Negrilă saved Varciorog from getting behind. Marcel Jupâneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonard Mircescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Toacsen in the 46th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Ionel Roşu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varciorog's Marin Negrilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

55 minutes into the match, Aurel Iovulescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonard Mircescu. Ivancauti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurel Iovulescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Ionel Roşu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Negrilă having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Noica got free with Marin Negrilă in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corneliu Purcaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Negrilă having to interfere. The Ivancauti fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Ivancauti's Ionel Roşu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 83 minutes into the match, Marcel Jupâneanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marin Negrilă, 1-7. In the 95th match minute, Varciorog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Topală to maneuver through the defense. Aurel Cipău shot from long distance in the 96th minute, but Marin Negrilă was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The Varciorog fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ivancauti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
